CONSTRUCTION SITE: YOU’RE JUST RIGHT by Sherri Duskey Rinker @sherririnker is an instant valentine's favorite.
❤️
It’s Valentine’s Day on the construction site and the vehicles are super excited.
As they work, digging and lifting, they encounter valentine's cards filled with notes of love and appreciation from friends along the way.
❤️
Subtle descriptive hints on each card, allows children to guess which vehicle left the card.
With bold, colorful, and lovable illustrations by AG Ford @agfordart, this new book is guaranteed to melt little hearts on Valentine’s Day.

Thank You!

I have had to cut my time in France short; my best friend, my rock, my mentor, the stable force in my life — my dad — is critically ill, in an ICU in Florida.

After cars, trains, Ubers, shuttles, I’m at my gate at CDG, heading back to the US.

Prayers, if you can. Please.

My last look around Chateau Orquevaux is below. It was one of the greatest honors and pleasures of my life to participate in their writers residency.

Review from Booklist..Roto and Roy: to the Rescue!

Nice news yesterday. We received a starred review from Booklist for ROTO AND ROY TO THE RESCUE! (Little Brown, March 21). I worked really hard on this book, and was pleased with how it turned out. But, honestly, I was broadsided by the star. I'll take it though! Thanks, Sherri Duskey Rinker, for writing such a fun series!

Remember, Barnes and Noble is now offering 25% off of this title through Friday, tomorrow. Use the code PREORDER25 when ordering.

Life Changing

My residency at Chateau Orquevaux continues. 🇫🇷✍🏻 I’m so grateful for this opportunity: The writing I’ve done, the experiences I’ve had and the people I’ve met… Life. Changing.

My first morning at the artist/writers residency at Chateau Orquevaux. 🇫🇷 I’m spending most of the day getting acclimated and sorting though a few hundred emails that accumulated while I was in Paris. Soon, I’ll be jumping into page one of a new book: always a bit intimidating, but exciting as well — before the frustration begins. (How is it that even page one feels like diving into the deep end?)

I’m so hopeful that two weeks here will leave me feeling joyfully accomplished. But, regardless, I’m trying to live in each moment, and take in the beauty of this place and the people and art that surround me. 🙏🏻

Sending you all wishes for joy, peace and creativity as this new year gets her footing. 💫

France!

I’ve arrived in Orquevaux, France, for a two-week residency, to focus on writing.

Even on this cold, cloudy day, it’s absolutely breathtaking. 🇫🇷

Yummy!

I met my first stuffed bagel in 2022, while dining with my fabulous friend and agent, Lori Kilkelly.

For those of you not yet acquainted, allow me to introduce you. 👋🏻 You’re welcome. Happy New Year! 🎉

(Btw, also lovely as a vegetarian option with grilled vegetables, spinach, goat cheese, etc. A tip: trim the BOTTOM of the bagel, so you get to keep the good bagel toppings.)
