Oops!

Why am I this person? 🤦🏻‍♀️

(Back-to-school night at the high school last night, to meet all my son’s teachers. And I happened to look down… 😳)

Love

I love this sweet photo of little Mark “reading” Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site to himself. 📚🛌 (Apparently, it’s his new naptime/bedtime fave. ❤️) Thank you to my sweet friend, @heathergiftrealtor for gifting the book, and to Mark’s mom, Emily, for the photo. ❤️❤️❤️

New Additions

Some book purchases, now going into my Little Free Library.

(This is how I rationalize my book-buying addiction: I buy, I read, I send them off into the world for kids to enjoy. 📚 🦋)

Great Video!

And, y’all, I cannot tell you the kind of skill it takes to operate an excavator. Hands-down, it’s the most difficult of all the big machines to master — so many points of movement to control. I’ve spent a good deal of time with a heavy equipment training expert… pretty sure he’s still hyperventilating into a paper bag, curled up in the fetal position.

Thank you to @diggersanddozers for the video of @liebherrconstruction on the Hillhead quarry face!

Nice

Y’all!!! PLEASE FOLLOW: @teach.read.mama !!! — I’ve been a fan and follower of hers for ages (!), and I’m SO HONORED by this recent, lovely post!
Today I am sharing another favorite picture book series with you. Both boys have LOVED this series, although my youngest has been more obsessed with it. We have also added a lot more of these titles to our home library since Gary was interested in these. What I love about this series is that you could start with the board books with a little one. You can introduce the characters and this series with the shorter storylines through the board books. Then you can move on to the longer picture books. We love the stories and rhyming found throughout these books. My youngest even learned his numbers through Excavator's 123 board book. We absolutely love the addition of the holiday versions. If you have a little one that loves things that go or construction vehicles, this series is a must!

Have you read any of these? Have a favorite? #readaloud #readtome #goodnightgoodnightconstructionsite
