Incredible History

Thought this was interesting; perhaps you will too... About 10 years ago, my elderly aunt was in a nursing facility. One of her fellow (long term) residents gave her a large cardboard tube as a gift. My aunt, not knowing what to do with it, gave it to me. In it, were these two pieces of art. I thought they were charming, so I had them framed and hung them in my youngest son’s room, until he decided that he needed to surround himself with everything racing. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ 🏁 After doing some research, I discovered that these signed, limited edition prints (300 and 500, plates destroyed) were done by an Indiana artist, Gerald Nees (born 1938) who became a paraplegic after a diving accident at the age of 15. Now, I hang them in my office during the holidays/winter and enjoy both the art AND the story behind it. β€’
