Celebrate the Achievements of Women!

We shouldn't need a special day to celebrate the achievements of women—we’re out here crushing it every single day, just like Kid McGear, the first female member of the mighty construction crew.

But to celebrate, I’m giving one lucky winner a chance to win a signed and personalized copy of Three Cheers for Kid McGear! and a copy of Rio Cortez’s incredible ABC's of Women’s History—a must-have for every child’s library!

March Book Giveaway

When March rolls around, it always adds a little extra spring to my step (terrible weather today notwithstanding)! The longer, warmer days are on the way, and soon, I'll be back in my garden.🌸🌷 Spring is full of things to look forward to, and these two fantastic books are certainly among them.

Kenard Paks's Goodbye Winter, Hello Spring takes readers along on a stroll through the countryside where they can explore all of the wonders that come with the changing seasons.

Although Safe Harbor by Padma Venkatraman might be better suited for your middle-grade readers, I couldn't resist including it with this month's picks. This lovely novel explores how children can discover community and inspiration in nature, especially during times of struggle.

To enter to win these books, follow my account, like this post, comment, and tag two friends before March 14, 2025, at 12 PM EST. US only, please!

January 2025 Giveaway enter by 1/24/25

If you missed the downloadable 2025 reading list I recently posted (download it at the link in my bio!), I shared that every month this year I’ll be giving away a copy of the monthly book picks.

It’s time to get started!

This month’s picks are the beloved Caldecott winner Owl Moon by
@jyolen and Soy Sauce! By @lauragleestudio. Owl Moon is a gorgeous ode to the silence and beauty of the natural world and the love between a father and child. It's an absolute MUST on every child's bookshelf and a perfect read for long, sleepy January nights. Soy Sauce! is a brand new picture book that celebrates how food can tie families to their history and culture. Fun fact: the paintings in the book used real soy sauce, too!

You can enter to win both of these books right here. To enter, follow me, like this post, comment and tag two friends by 12 PM EST on Friday, January 24th. US only, please!

Adventure into Miniature Worlds!

My sister started creating miniature worlds as a form of relaxation, and I’ve fallen in love with the hobby as well. (Hi, Suz!) So, this is what I’ve been working on when I’m supposed to be editing (shh! 🤫). I enjoy this peaceful little book world everyday, with my morning coffee and afternoon tea. ☕️ 🫖 🐭 📚

PS: The miniature books are available on Etsy, INCLUDING some titles that contain the actual pages! 🥰😮

Big Big Construction Site 🚧 🧱🚧

I came back with a New York Time Bestseller.
Describing a day of construction tools. The duties of almost all construction tools are explained in this beautiful story. It is discussed that fairs were held to finish the building, which is on the plan, which starts with sunrise and until sunset.
Looking at his drawings it feels like he is watching a full animated movie.
If you have a child interested in construction machinery, I recommend giving them a place in your library.

Readings with lots of digging, pouring and carrying 🚧 Bol 🚧
