Jump Into It!

I’ve been begging my fairy Godmother for an ARC, and she totally came through! I do adore you, Kwame. Can’t wait to jump (😉) into this one. ❤️❤️❤️

Check this out!

It’s finally here — and I GOT IT! 🙌🏻 Written in verse and fully (and equally poetically) illustrated by Lita Judge. I’m proud to call her my friend, because this Blows. Me. Away. (And, quite honestly, Lita’s backstory on creating this book is as compelling and incredible as Mary’s.)

Sniff! Sniff-sniff! I smell a bone

Debuts TOMORROW! 🐶 Sniff! Sniff-sniff! I smell a bone. A bone that's BIG. I'll get it out, I'll dig and dig. A big, BIG bone! I know it's there! It will take work, but I don't care! Tiny may be a small dog, but don't let that fool you. He's a pooch with power who knows what he wants. And he's going for it. But oh, those pesky pessimists -- they're trying to rain on Tiny's dig-parade! Thank goodness for one special boy who believes in Tiny, because in the end, this dog's grit proves that he's the little pup who could... dig up some giant surprises!

Fan Letters?

Hey, I could use a pick-me-up; I’ll open some fan mail... And, I quickly discover that I’m second fiddle, FAR BEHIND “Mr. John Rocco.” (Hey, John, I have a stack that doesn’t even mention me; I’ll deliver ‘em to you, and you can buy me a very expensive ego-soothing dinner. 🙄)

Stormy Teenagers!

Imagine that most horrible thunderstorm ever: black skies, torrential rain, deafening thunder, howling winds...And then, INSTANTLY: Quiet. Clear skies. Sunshine. Chirping robins.

THAT is what it's like when two teenagers FINALLY get out the door in the morning.

Can You Get Yourself to a Slice of Pie?

A few days ago, my son and I made a chocolate-peanut-butter pie. Little did we know, it would come to life. It taunts us, day and night, “I’m in the fridge. Just take one bite; I won’t hurt you. Just grab a fork and steal a bite, no one will know. I know you’re trying to resist me, but I’m soooo delicious, come on — just take a bite, one little bite...” 👹 DAMN YOU TO HELL, EVIL TALKING PIE!!!

And then there's BUB!

New, from my friend Beth (Elizabeth Rose) Stanton ❤️ I love the pairing of Beth’s soft, sweet style with a monster book! ❤️ For Bub, it’s not easy being the middle child in his little monster family—especially such a noisy and busy one: Maw and Paw can be very loud, his big sister Bernice is good at everything, and everyone has to pay attention to The Baby. No one has time for Bub. But the day comes when Bub decides to take charge, and suddenly things change in a very magical little monster way! What happens next keeps his family guessing, until Bub sees that it might not be so bad being in the middle, after all.
